Job summary

CFS in Branford, CT is seeking a Senior Accountant to join a well-established manufacturing team. The role offers broad exposure beyond month-end accounting, including financial reporting, forecasting, cash flow, inventory, costing, and process improvement, with a path to greater responsibility.

The Senior Accountant will work closely with leadership, manage AR/AP, payroll, and general ledger activities, and support internal controls across the business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of accounting and financial experience.
• Manufacturing industry experience required.
• Strong financial reporting and general ledger accounting experience.
• Experience with forecasting and financial analysis.
• Exposure to inventory and cost accounting.
• Strong Excel and accounting systems skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with accounting, operations, and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial statements, annual reports, and financial forecasts.
• Manage and support AR, AP, payroll, inventory, costing, and general ledger activities.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close.
• Analyze financial results and prepare variance reporting.
• Oversee cash flow forecasting and management.
• Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting processes.
• Support inventory and cost accounting within a manufacturing environment.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational improvements.
• Partner with leadership on financial analysis and business initiatives.
