Senior Accountant
Location: Hartford, CT (In‑Office with Flexibility)
Position Summary
We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join a growing accounting and finance team. This individual will play a key role in supporting technical accounting initiatives, fixed asset analysis, and financial oversight, while partnering closely with the Controller on higher‑level accounting research and special projects. This is an ideal opportunity for someone transitioning from public accounting into industry who is looking for a more analytical and strategic role rather than a traditional transactional close position.
Responsibilities
Technical Accounting & Analysis
- Prepare and review technical accounting documentation, including red and white papers
- Assist with accounting research related to manufacturing operations
- Support income tax oversight and coordination with external service providers
- Partner with the Controller on ad hoc analysis and special projects
Fixed Assets & Reporting
- Perform fixed asset analysis, including capitalization and depreciation review
- Ensure accuracy and compliance related to asset accounting policies
- Contribute to continuous improvement of accounting processes and best practices
Collaboration & Growth
- Work closely with accounting and finance leadership to support evolving business needs
- Gain exposure to strategic finance initiatives as responsibilities expand
- Maintain clear and effective communication across the team
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
- Public accounting background required
- Experience auditing manufacturing clients strongly preferred
- Strong technical accounting foundation and analytical skills
- Proactive, hands‑on approach with a desire to learn and grow
- Strong communication and collaboration skills

Compensation
- Base salary up to $130,000 DOE
- Bonus eligible
Base Pay Range
$110,000.00/yr – $130,000.00/yr
