About The Role

Heyday is seeking a Senior Accountant to play a key role in our Accounting and Finance team’s expansion. You will help implement new processes, perform reconciliations, and improve current systems supporting our team.

This is a remote position, preferably for candidates based in the New York City area, reporting directly to the Controller.

What You'll Do

1. Conduct weekly sales reconciliations to ensure accurate revenue capture.
2. Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
3. Manage lease accounting under ASC 842.
4. Handle sales tax submissions and reconciliations.
5. Collaborate with Retail Ops and Supply Chain on inventory activities, including stock counts and inventory adjustments.
6. Support the month-end close process by recording G/L journal entries, completing reconciliations, and investigating discrepancies.
7. Assist with audit requests and provide explanations to auditors.
8. Monitor internal controls to meet company standards.
9. Participate in ad hoc projects as needed.

The Ideal Candidate

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in an accounting role.
• Experience with Multi-Unit Retail and Franchises is a plus.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP.
• Netsuite experience preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills required.
• Analytical with problem-solving skills.
• Results-oriented and accountable.
• Excellent communicator, team player.
• Comfortable with accounting systems and adaptable to change.
• Passionate about skincare, self-care, and wellness.
