Job summary

NACBA client is seeking a Senior Accountant (Consultant) to support private equity sponsors with financial accounting and reporting for multiple management companies. You will join a team of seasoned professionals in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities include cash and fixed asset accounting, payroll reconciliations, AP collaboration, monthly close, financial statements, 1099 processes, client onboarding, and liaison with auditors and tax advisors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience, ideally in public accounting or financial services.
  • Strong working knowledge of private equity management fees and related accounting.
  • Excellent understanding of core accounting principles and GAAP.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; client-facing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Process and record cash transactions, including monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Perform fixed asset and prepaid expense accounting activities.
  • Manage payroll accounting, including reconciliations with payroll provider records.
  • Collaborate with Accounts Payable to review invoices and journal entries.
  • Support the monthly accounting close process, including journal entries for expense accruals and equity-related transactions.
  • Assist in preparing financial statements, footnote disclosures, and workpapers.
  • Contribute to the annual Form 1099 process.
  • Support onboarding of new clients and accurate financial setup.
  • Execute ad-hoc and special projects as requested by management.
  • Act as liaison between clients and third-party auditors and tax accountants.

Our client, a global leader in financial services, is seeking a skilled Senior Accountant (Consultant) to join their team. This is a compelling consulting opportunity to support private equity sponsors in managing the financial accounting and reporting requirements of their management companies. You will work with a highly experienced team supporting multiple clients in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities
  1. Process and record cash transactions, including monthly bank reconciliations.
  2. Perform fixed asset and prepaid expense accounting activities.
  3. Manage payroll accounting, including reconciliations with payroll provider records.
  4. Collaborate with the Accounts Payable team to review invoices and journal entries.
  5. Support the monthly accounting close process, including preparation of journal entries for expense accruals, equity-related transactions, and other activities.
  6. Assist in the preparation of financial statements, footnote disclosures, and supporting workpapers.
  7. Contribute to the annual Form 1099 process.

Requirements

  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, SUMIFs).
  5. Experience with accounting systems such as Sage Intacct is a plus.
  6. Excellent understanding of core accounting principles and GAAP.
  7. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  8. Proven analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to offer recommendations.
  9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; client-facing experience preferred.
  10. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
