YOUR IMPACT

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to oversee general ledger accounting, month-end close, A/P, A/R, and payroll. This role will be responsible for preparing financial statements, performing account reconciliations, and managing the general ledger. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of US GAAP and have the reporting and technical expertise to support our ongoing growth. Collaboration with other departments to enhance reporting will be essential. As a key member of the finance team, this position reports directly to the VP of Finance and Accounting.

As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in our expansion by ensuring accuracy and providing strategic insights through financial data. Your expertise will be instrumental in developing scalable processes, optimizing systems, and enabling data-driven decisions as we grow nationally.

REPORTS TO:VP of Finance and Accounting

COLLABORATES WITH:Clean Market/NutriDrip Corporate Team, Operations team, 3rd Party Accounting team

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Leadership & Strategy

• Craft accurate financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) and support month-end/year-end closes, ensuring compliance with US GAAP.
• Design and enforce internal controls to safeguard assets and streamline workflows.
• Partner cross-functionally to manage and enhance expense management and reporting clarity.

Technical Excellence

• Oversee general ledger integrity in Xero, including journal entries, AP/AR, expense categorization, revenue recognition and payroll.
• Drive system optimization (user access, permissions) to bolster security, compliance and efficiency.
• Spearhead process improvements through tech-driven solutions.

Tax & Payroll Governance

• Ensure timely tax filings (sales, payroll, corporate) and maintain rigorous compliance.
• Audit payroll transactions for accuracy and adherence to regulations.

Strategic Forecasting

• Collaborate with the VP of Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field. CPA or CMA certification is highly preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in the healthcare/wellness or hospitality field; or at a startup
• Proficiency in accounting software, such as QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• A strong sense of ownership
• Exceptional written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
