Job summary

Well-Known Medical Practice is seeking a Senior Accountant in Brooklyn, NY (1 day/week in office). The role requires handling day-to-day accounting for a multi-entity organization and owning the full accounts payable cycle.

You will support month-end close and coordinate with finance leadership to ensure accuracy. You will manage cash and banking activities, establish internal controls, and oversee fixed asset accounting and lease reporting.

Client: Well-Known Medical Practice Location: Brooklyn, NY (1 day/week in office) Title: Senior Accountant Pay: $110,000/year Job Description:

• Run day-to-day accounting operations, including journal entries, reconciliations, monthly analyses, and general ledger maintenance across a multi-entity organization.
• Own the full accounts payable cycle, managing the end-to-end process and utilizing accounting and expense management systems effectively.
• Coordinate accounts receivable activities with external service providers.
• Partner with finance leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure an accurate and timely monthly close.
• Manage cash, treasury, and banking activities across the organization.
• Establish and maintain effective internal controls to support organizational growth.
• Own fixed asset accounting and reporting, including lease accounting responsibilities.
• Prepare accurate financial reporting and deliverables under tight deadlines.
• Provide guidance, training, and support to junior accounting staff.
• Leverage automation and emerging technologies to improve efficiency and enhance financial processes.
• Support intercompany accounting, payroll administration, audits, and tax preparation activities.
