Job summary

A high-growth software company in Nashville is seeking a Senior Accountant ready to take ownership of month-end close processes and grow into an Accounting Manager role within 6–12 months. This position offers direct exposure to senior leadership and a chance to make impactful changes in a scaling SaaS environment. Candidates should have 2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably from a Big Four firm, along with a strong understanding of general ledger activities and CPA certification.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of accounting experience required.
• Background in Big Four or large public accounting is strongly preferred.
• Experience in private equity–backed or high-growth environments is necessary.
• Strong GL and month-end close ownership required.
• Comfortable working independently and taking ownership.

Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle month-end close and general ledger activities.
• Prepare and review reconciliations and financial statements.
• Apply ASC 606 (revenue recognition) and ASC 842 (leases).
• Support consolidation and reporting processes.
• Provide guidance and oversight to a senior accountant.
• Improve close efficiency, documentation, and controls.
