Job DetailsResponsibilities

• Manage and oversee all aspects of the accounting function including but not limited to general ledger, fixed assets, accounts payable, accounts receivable, sales and use tax.
• Prepare and present financial reports, statements, and analyses, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
• Ensure accuracy and effectiveness in all our accounting tasks, including financial transactions and reporting.
• Lead month-end and year-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Implement and maintain internal financial controls and procedures.
• Manage tax provision and tax compliance process, including sales and use tax.
• Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and periodic financial forecasts.
• Use Sage 300 to automate and enhance financial operations and reporting.
• Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
• Provide insightful information and expectations to senior executives to aid in long-term and short-term decision making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is required. An advanced degree or professional certification such as CPA is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry.
• Proficiency in Sage 300 and other accounting software.
• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and tax regulations.
• Expertise in sales and use tax, ledger, and fixed asset accounting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with all levels within the company.
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Highly detail-oriented and organized with the ability to meet deadlines.
