Job summary

Creative Financial Staffing, LLC is assisting a manufacturing company in Indiana with a Senior Accountant role located on-site in Middlebury. The position focuses on month-end close, complex journal entries and reconciliations, ensuring timely financial reporting.

You'll prepare monthly financials, support SOX controls, participate in inventory counts, and drive process improvements with the finance team. 3–4 years' manufacturing accounting experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
• 3–4 years of accounting experience, preferably with exposure to manufacturing or public accounting/audit.
• Proficient in ERP systems and advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas).
• Self-starter with ownership and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own key responsibilities within the month-end close process, including complex journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Help ensure financials are reported within the reporting cycle.
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial information and operational reporting.
• Support quarterly SOX audits, including gathering and preparing documentation.
• Participate in inventory cycle counts.
• Research and resolve accounting issues and complete various ad hoc financial and accounting projects.
• Partner with the accounting and finance team to improve processes and support business needs.

Salary: $85,000-110,000 annually
