Job summary

Tranzeal Incorporated in West Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Senior Accountant to own complex accounting operations and the month-end close. Hybrid work model: 3 days onsite per week.

You will mentor senior staff, lead audits, interpret contracts, and drive revenue recognition and tax readiness with cross-functional teams. The role requires 5+ years of progressive accounting, public accounting background, and CPA or advanced degree preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end month-end close, including complex journal entries and reconciliations.
• Provide financial reporting, variance analysis, and close process improvements.
• Review and mentor Senior Accountants; prior people leadership required.
• Lead audit support and determine technical accounting conclusions.
• Interpret contracts and determine accounting treatment.
• Support tax-season readiness and revenue-related processes.
• Oversee revenue recognition, revenue-sharing calculations, and contract lifecycle.
• Collaborate with Finance, Product, Operations, Reporting/Data, and Development teams.
• Assist system testing and Oracle testing environments; manage large data sets.

Senior Accountant | Direct Hire | West Los Angeles, CA

Work Mode: Hybrid – 3 days onsite/week

We’re seeking a highly seasoned Senior Accountant / Accounting Manager to own complex accounting operations, month-end close, revenue-share accounting, tax-season readiness, and cross-functional accounting initiatives.

Key Responsibilities & Skills:

• Own end-to-end month-end close, complex journal entries, reconciliations, financial reporting, and variance analysis
• Review and mentor Senior Accountants; prior people leadership/direct reports required
• Lead audit support, technical accounting conclusions, policies, and process improvements
• Review and interpret contracts/agreements and determine accounting treatment
• Support tax-season readiness, transmitter agreements, deal sheets, and operational requirements
• Manage revenue recognition, revenue-sharing calculations, claims, and contract lifecycle
• Partner with Finance, Product, Operations, Reporting/Data, and Development teams
• Support system testing, accounting approvals, and Oracle testing environments
• Work effectively with large/heavy data sets and investigate complex reconciliations
• Drive accounting evaluations, controls, process documentation, and new business initiatives

Requirements:

• 5+ years progressive accounting experience
• Public accounting experience required
• Big 4/Big 8 experience strongly preferred
• Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and staff-review experience
• Strong technical accounting, contract interpretation, and financial analysis skills
• Accounting degree required; CPA or advanced degree preferred
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
• Must currently reside within commuting distance of West Los Angeles and work onsite 3 days/week
