Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to lead the month-end close, own the Accounts Payable function end-to-end, and manage payroll auditing. This role ensures accurate, timely financial reporting and strong internal controls across a fast-paced, multi-brand publicly traded company.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of accounting experience, a Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance, and strong GAAP knowledge. Experience with NetSuite, Stampli, and Rippling is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial results.
• Own the entire Accounts Payable function, including invoice processing, vendor management, payment runs, reconciliations, and 1099 filing.
• Perform payroll auditing to ensure accuracy, compliance, and proper GL coding across pay cycles.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations related to AP and payroll.
• Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, HR, and operations teams to resolve discrepancies and streamline processes.
• Reconcile intercompany billing to other brands.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and strengthen internal controls.
• Support internal audits, external audits, and SOX-related requests for AP and payroll.
• Maintain documentation of AP and payroll procedures and ensure adherence to company policies.

This role is critical to ensuring accurate, timely financial reporting and strong internal controls across a fast-paced, multi-brand publicly traded company.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial results
• Own the entire Accounts Payable function, including invoice processing, vendor management, payment runs, reconciliations, and 1099 filing
• Perform payroll auditing to ensure accuracy, compliance, and proper GL coding across pay cycles
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations related to AP and payroll
• Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, HR, and operations teams to resolve discrepancies and streamline processes
• Reconcile intercompany billing to other brands
• Administer the corporate credit card program (Divvy)
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and strengthen internal controls
• Support internal audits, external audits, and SOX-related requests for AP and payroll
• Maintain documentation of AP and payroll procedures and ensure adherence to company policies
• Other ad hoc financial analysis as requested by the Accounting Senior Manager and a.k.a. Brands leadership

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience, with a focus on Accounts Payable and/or month-end close
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls
• Experience with NetSuite, Stampli, and Rippling strongly preferred
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Nice to Have

• Experience in retail, e-commerce, or a multi-entity/multi-brand environment
• Prior experience owning a function end-to-end in a growing company
