Job summary

Vaco Recruiter Services is seeking a Senior Accountant in La Vista, Nebraska, with a competitive base salary of $100,000-$105,000, depending on experience. This role includes 4 days on-site work and 1 day remote.

The ideal candidate will lead month-end processes, manage audits, and enhance accounting procedures. Responsibilities also include analyzing financial results and collaborating with leaders on strategic projects. Candidates should have at least 2 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance.

Senior Accountant

$100,000-$105,000 base salary (depending on experience)

La Vista, NE (4 days on-site, 1 remote)

• Lead the month-end close process by preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, analyzing financial results, and ensuring accurate reporting.
• Review balance sheet and income statement activity, investigate variances, and communicate key financial insights to support decision-making.
• Coordinate external audit activities by providing timely documentation, collaborating with auditors, and maintaining a strong internal control environment.
• Partner with business leaders on financial reporting, operational initiatives, system implementations, and strategic projects, including acquisitions and process enhancements.
• Drive accounting process improvements through automation and control enhancements while mentoring junior team members and promoting cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of Big 4 or Large Public Company Experience (Required)
• Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance (Required)
• CPA or progress toward CPA (Preferred)
