Qualifications

• Advanced Excel skills: Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, Index/Match.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant for a 2-6 month contract opportunity in Alhambra, CA.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Analyze financial statements and investigate variances.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and ensure timely resolution of outstanding items.
• Assist with financial reporting and management reporting packages.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis as needed.
• Maintain and improve accounting processes and internal controls.
• Partner with cross-functional departments to ensure accurate financial data.
• Assist with external audits and provide requested supporting documentation.
• Support special projects, process improvements, and ad hoc financial analysis.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including experience at the Senior Accountant level.
• Healthcare industry experience strongly preferred, including familiarity with healthcare accounting processes, reimbursements, or medical organization financial operations.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including:
