Job summary

Premier Truck Group, headquartered in Dallas, Texas, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our accounting team. This role focuses on financial statements, GL analysis, month-end close, and depreciation management for our multi-location dealership network.

Candidates should hold a college degree in accounting and have experience in a dealership environment; advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Word/Outlook are required. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• College degree in accounting or related field required.
• At least 1 year of dealership experience preferred.
• Advanced proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements, statistical reports and bank reconciliations.
• Analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts for accuracy.
• Post journal entries during month end close.
• Perform balance sheet and budget variance analyses.
• Responsible for depreciation/fixed assets and factory payables reconciliation.
• Responsible for AP invoice approvals and verification.
• Audits of sales analyses and handling deposits/refunds.
• Provide daily dealership assistance.
• Carry out other duties as assigned.

Senior Account Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements, statistical Reports and Bank Reconciliations
• Analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy
• Prepare and post journal entries during month end close
• Perform balance sheet and budget comparison analysis and explain variances
• Responsible for dealership depreciation/fixed assets
• Responsible for dealership factory payable recon
• Responsible for deposit reconciliation/posting
• Responsible for balance sheet account reconciliation
• Responsible for calculation of sales and use tax
• Responsible for warranty-payments and credit memos
• Responsible for AP invoice approvals and verification
• Audit sales analysis
• Maintain and post/apply and verify all monies (i.e. down payments, deposits, credit card slips, refunds and bank wires) on truck sales
• Process customer refunds
• Provide daily dealership assistance
• Perform all other duties as assigned

Senior Account Requirements

• A college degree in accounting or a related field is required
• A minimum of one year experience in a dealership environment preferred
• Experience with the automotive sales, service and parts industry a plus
• Advanced level of experience in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding all business and employment issues.
• Operating all necessary office equipment.
