Job description

Job Summary

The Bread Club is seeking a Senior Accountant to lead all accounting functions across the FLHO portfolio. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financials, improving accounting processes, and ensuring timely, reliable reporting to support decision‑making. It will work closely with ownership and operational leadership to help FLHO stay organized while maintaining strong financial discipline across multiple concepts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all accounting operations across entities, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll coordination, and cash management
  • Manage weekly and monthly close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Prepare, review and analyze P&Ls, identifying trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement
  • Maintain and improve internal controls, accounting policies, and reporting procedures
  • Ensure all invoices are properly captured, coded, and processed in a timely manner (in coordination with operations teams)
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and intercompany transactions
  • Serve as primary contact for external auditors and tax advisors
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost control initiatives (labor, food, and beverage)
  • Assist with system optimization across platforms such as Sage Intacct, Craftable, Toast, and payroll systems
  • Support new openings and ensure accounting systems and processes are properly set up from day one
  • Identify inefficiencies and implement scalable solutions as the company grows
  • Develop a future accounting team
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA or CMA Qualification
  • 7+ years of accounting experience, preferably in multi‑unit or multi‑entity environments
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting and accounting fundamentals
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, hands‑on environment
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally with operations teams
  • Understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting standards
  • Proficiency in accounting systems (SageIntaact and Quickbooks required)
  • Experience in hospitality preferred (restaurant, hotels)
  • Experience working with inventory‑based accounting preferred
  • Familiarity with systems such as Toast and Craftable preferred
Compensation
  • 90k - 110k salary
