Job Description: We are partnering with a private equity real estate firm seeking a highly skilled and motivated Staff or Senior Accountant to join their team. This critical position will have primary responsibility for record-keeping and financial reporting for several private equity funds. The Staff/Senior Accountant will report to the Controller and will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely financial information.

Key Responsibilities:

• Record journal entries and maintain the general ledger for assigned funds.
• Reconcile bank accounts and prepare capital calls and distributions to partners.
• Maintain a working understanding of limited partnership agreements and apply terms to financial reporting and income/expense allocations.
• Prepare financial statements and footnotes, and allocate income and expenses to partners' capital accounts.
• Analyze investment transactions and valuations, using sound judgment to determine proper accounting and classification.
• Coordinate with outside CPA firms on annual audits and tax return preparation.
• Prepare various management reports for assigned partnerships.
• Ensure compliance with current accounting principles and advise on their proper application.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
• 2+ years of relevant experience in public accounting, fund accounting, or within a private equity firm.
• Strong analytical skills and thorough working knowledge of accounting principles.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines with a high degree of accuracy and diligence.
• Experience with private equity, partnership accounting, and real estate is a plus.

Compensation:

• Staff Accountant: Up to $90K Base, Plus Bonus
• Senior Accountant: Up to $120K Base, Plus Bonus
