Job summary

KBW Financial Staffing & Recruiting is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its finance team. This role will ensure an accurate month-end close, maintain GAAP compliance, and support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis in a fast-paced environment.

Key duties include journal entries, reconciliations, variance analysis, and inventory/standard cost management, with opportunities to contribute to ongoing accounting initiatives and special projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• 4+ years of accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and general ledger accounting.
• Public accounting experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end and quarter-end close activities, including preparing and recording journal entries in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Prepare account reconciliations, supporting schedules, and financial analyses within established closing deadlines.
• Maintain and update standard cost and inventory management
• Assist with monthly reviews of actual results compared with budget and forecast, investigating variances as needed.
• Revenue recognition according to ASC 606
• Help maintain compliance with internal controls and SOX requirements.
• Assist with quarter-end inventory close activities and related financial analyses.
• Collaborate with the Finance team on ongoing accounting initiatives and special projects.

$100,000 - $110,000 plus bonus and benefits
