Job summary

Carolina PRG in Charlotte is seeking a Senior Accountant to join a growing organization. The role focuses on month-end close, financial reporting, analysis, and process improvement.

The Senior Accountant will work closely with the broader accounting and finance team and will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. The ideal candidate will be organized, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field is required.
• 3+ years of professional accounting experience.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and accounting principles.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly, quarterly, and year end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Ensure financial transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with GAAP.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, account activity, and supporting schedules.
• Research and explain expense and financial statement variances.
• Support customer billing and related accounting activities.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Support annual audits by preparing schedules and documentation.
• Collaborate with Accounting, Finance and other departments to resolve accounting issues.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting.
• Assist with special projects and additional accounting duties as needed.
