The Accountant will gather, review, and input real estate and equipment lease data into our lease accounting and management software application. They will also extract data for month-end journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and other financial data reviews.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with regional finance teams globally to obtain lease contracts and supporting documents.
• Review lease contracts to identify provisions with accounting impact.
• Analyze lease contracts and cross-reference supporting documentation for accuracy.
• Work with regional finance teams to resolve data integrity issues proactively.
• Enter and update lease data in the lease management software (CoStar).
• Prepare and analyze monthly lease validation and reconciliation reports.
• Maintain and create Excel macros for generating journal entries and reports.
• Review data submissions for completeness and accuracy, processing updates accordingly.
• Generate and review lease accounting entries for distribution.
• Assist in preparing quarterly/annual lease disclosure reports.
• Investigate and resolve lease accounting/reporting issues.
• Maintain a dashboard to monitor regional responses.
• Prepare ad hoc reports for routine reviews and reporting needs.
• Collaborate with the CoStar support team to resolve system issues.
• Create and maintain procedural documentation and training materials.
• Apply continuous improvement practices and recommend process enhancements.
• Perform special projects as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or related field.
• Knowledge of GAAP, lease accounting standards, and internal controls.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel with macros.
• Knowledge of OneStream, Oracle, and CoStar is a plus.
