• Strong knowledge of general accounting principles.
• Experience with reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting.
• Ability to support audit preparation and year-end close activities.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Ability to collaborate across departments and with external auditors.
• Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee capital assets and depreciation tracking.
• Support year-end audit preparation and auditor requests.
• Review coding, budget availability, and compliance items.
• Assist with revenue tracking, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Prepare journal entries and payment vouchers.
• Support grant, retainage, and other account reconciliations.
• Assist with SEFA, ACFR, and Single Audit processes.
• Provide guidance to accounting staff on key functions.
• Help implement new governmental accounting standards.
• Serve as backup for accounts payable review and approvals.
