Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Experience in a Accounting Supervisor or lead role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
• Experience preparing and reviewing financial reports.
• Ability to manage large data sets with accuracy; advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the financial reporting team.
• Set priorities and goals aligned with accounting objectives.
• Review journal entries for accuracy and timeliness.
• Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Support ad hoc reporting and special accounting projects.
• Assist with annual audit preparation and coordination.
• Create and maintain desk procedures and workflows.
• Respond to internal and external accounting inquiries.
• Partner with other teams to support reporting needs.

Compensation: $135k + annually, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Lead and support the financial reporting team.
• Set priorities and goals aligned with accounting objectives.
• Review journal entries for accuracy and timeliness.
• Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Support ad hoc reporting and special accounting projects.
• Assist with annual audit preparation and coordination.
• Create and maintain desk procedures and workflows.

• Partner with other teams to support reporting needs.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Proven experience in an Accounting Supervisor role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
• Experience preparing and reviewing financial reports.
• Ability to manage large data sets with accuracy.Advanced Excel skills, including formulas and charts.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
• Team leadership and development experience.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• CPA or CMA certification.
• Experience in oil and gas accounting.
• Background supporting monthly financial close processes.
• Experience with audit support and documentation.
• Process improvement or workflow development experience.
• Exposure to commercial or contract administration teams.
