Job summary

True Oil LLC is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Casper, Wyoming team. This on-site role oversees monthly and annual financial statements across multiple entities within the True Companies family.

You will maintain ERP systems, analyze financial data, prepare journals, forecasts, budgets, and lead year-end reporting tasks. A CPA not required, but strong accounting principles and leadership skills are essential for success in this collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent education with four (4) or more years of experience.
• Proficiency in accounting principles.
• Ability to train and coach others.
• Ability to read professional documents (contracts, invoices, various financial statements, emails).
• Ability to research and interpret rules and regulations to solve complex issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to our sister companies True Drilling LLC & True Oil LLC.
• Produce and train others on monthly and annual financial statements for multiple companies.
• Maintain ERP and associated software/s as it relates to accounting modules.
• Review and analyze financial and account activity.
• Prepare advanced financial analyses and reports.
• Prepare and/or review journal entries and ensure all entries are adequately supported, as per procedures.
• Prepare company forecasts and budgets for management.
• Perform and/or review account reconciliations.
• Prepare and review general ledger activities at an advanced level.Verify that controls and processes have been followed.
• Work with internal and external customers to provide problem resolution.
• Assist and/or review tax returns (i.e. production taxes).
• Assist with year-end reporting, including overseeing the issuance of 1099s.

Preferred Education, Experience and/or Abilities

• Oil and Gas industry experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

• English language fluency, verbal and written.
• Acceptable results of a pre-employment background check, credit check and drug/alcohol test.
