Job summary

True Oil LLC is hiring a Senior Accountant for an on-site role in Casper, Wyoming. You’ll prepare financial statements, manage ERP systems, and support multiple entities within the True Companies family.

The position requires a Bachelor’s in accounting with 4+ years of experience, strong GAAP knowledge, and the ability to coach others. Comprehensive benefits and annual salary range are provided.

• Strong research skills to interpret rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to sister companies True Drilling LLC and True Oil LLC.
• Produce and train others on monthly and annual financial statements for multiple companies.
• Maintain ERP and accounting modules, review financial activity.
• Prepare advanced financial analyses and reports.
• Prepare and review journal entries with proper supporting documentation.
• Forecast and budget for management, perform reconciliations.
• Oversee general ledger activities and ensure control compliance.
• Collaborate with internal/external customers on issue resolution.
• Assist with tax returns and year-end reporting including 1099s.

What You'll Do:

• Provide support to our sister companies True Drilling LLC & True Oil LLC.
• Produce and train others on monthly and annual financial statements for multiple companies.
• Maintain ERP and associated software/s as it relates to accounting modules.
• Review and analyze financial and account activity.
• Prepare advanced financial analyses and reports.
• Prepare and/or review journal entries and ensure all entries are adequately supported, as per procedures.
• Prepare company forecasts and budgets for management.
• Perform and/or review account reconciliations.
• Prepare and review general ledger activities at an advanced level.
• Verify that controls and processes have been followed.
• Work with internal and external customers to provide problem resolution.
• Assist and/or review tax returns (i.e. production taxes).
• Assist with year-end reporting, including overseeing the issuance of 1099s.

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent education with four (4) or more years of experience; an equivalent combination of education, experience and/or abilities may be considered.
• Proficiency in accounting principles.
• Ability to train and coach others.
• Ability to read professional documents (contracts, invoices, various financial statements, emails).
• Ability to research and interpret rules and regulations to solve complex issues.

Preferred Education, Experience and/or Abilities

• Oil and Gas industry experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

• English language fluency, verbal and written.
• Acceptable results of a pre-employment background check, credit check and drug/alcohol test.
