JOBSUMMARY:
Theprimary purpose of this position is to report, on a timely and accurate basis,facility financial statements. This is an on-site, in office position.
JOBDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Toassist with monthly financial close within the scheduled time frames.
- Requiresa self-starter capable of working independently handling multiple tasks &performing under the pressure of deadlines.
- Shouldbe professional in appearance, detail oriented, exceptional organizationalskills & have a high energy level.
JOBREQUIREMENTS:
Education
- Four-yeardegree. BS degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
Experience
- 2-3years of experience in public accounting or in multi-entity general ledgerclose, financial statement preparation and account reconciliation.
- Superiorlevel skills in computer technology with knowledge of Microsoft Office and extensive Excel knowledge; experience with Great Plan Dynamics and ManagementReporter a plus.
- Healthcareor long term care experiences a plus.
- Requiressomeone with the ability to work as a professional with others in a teamenvironment.
Specific Requirements
- Reviewand maintain assigned nursing facilities’ general ledgers
- Preparationof monthly & quarterly financial statements in accordance with GAAP andwith a high degree of accuracy.
- Prepareand enter journal entries for payroll, accruals, and other month end items
- MaintainIntercompany and balance sheet account reconciliations on a monthly basis.
- Maintaincapital expenditures ledger
- Preparationof interim and year-end audit work papers.
- Assistwith Medicaid/Medicare cost report audit requests.
- Otherrelated financial/census reporting.
- Generatemonthly reports to be distributed to facility and corporate management
- Otherduties as assigned by the Accounting Manager and CFO
