Senior Accountant

Hybrid Structure (2 days/week required in-office)

We currently have 158 practices in 17 states across the full spectrum of dermatology, skin cancer care, cosmetics, plastic surgery, and pathology with continued plans to expand further across the nation.

Purpose

The Senior Accountant will possess a strong results-driven mentality, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to achieving financial goals and delivering exceptional outcomes. This role requires a keen eye for detail, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data while meticulously reviewing all aspects of accounting processes. Additionally, the Senior Accountant must be capable of working autonomously, displaying a high degree of initiative and self-direction in managing tasks and responsibilities without the need for constant supervision. This independence will empower them to take ownership of their work, streamline workflows, and contribute significantly to the overall success of the team and organization.

Responsibilities

• Prepare general ledger entries by maintaining records and files.
• Prepare account reconciliations for month end close.
• Assist with month end close process including bank reconciliations.
• Assist with annual audit and tax requests.
• Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
• Analyze information and options by developing spreadsheet reports and verifying information.
• Act as primary point of contact for regional operations as assigned, including the Regional Vice-President.
• Assist Director of Accounting as needed.
• Perform other analyses and duties as assigned.
• Identify and resolve problems.
• Interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures.
• Use good reasoning and judgment, react calmly in emergency situations.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, co-workers and the public.
• Read, write and communicate effectively, orally and in writing in English.
• Use Microsoft Excel skillfully, including Pivot tables, Index Match, Vlookup and managing large data sets.
• Operate a computer keyboard proficiently and work effectively with Microsoft Office products.
• Handle Protected Health Information (PHI) for duties related to document and report preparation, adhering to HIPAA Privacy Rule policies and procedures.
• Understand HIPAA security policies, procedures, expectations and professional responsibilities related to area and staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 2+ years experience in accounting or related field.
• Strict attention to detail.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience communicating financial results to operations leaders and answering questions about monthly results.
• Proficient Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, and ability to analyze large data sets.
• Ability to collaborate and work in a team environment.
• Multi‑entity/location physician services experience.
