Description du poste

Senior Accountant Boise, Idaho | In Office $75,000 – $90,000

Alliance Resource Group is partnering with a large, established construction organization in Boise to identify a Senior Accountant who wants broader exposure than a traditional corporate accounting role. This is a highly visible, operational accounting position supporting a growing organization with significant project activity throughout the Treasure Valley. While the company has the resources and stability of an established general contractor, the local environment has an entrepreneurial feel where people wear multiple hats, work closely with operations, and have the opportunity to expand their responsibilities over time. For someone who enjoys understanding how the business operates—not simply closing the books—this is an opportunity to gain meaningful exposure to project accounting, cost accounting, payroll compliance, financial reporting, and construction operations while building toward increased responsibility within the accounting organization.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Support the monthly close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, bank and cash reconciliations, and financial reporting
  • Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts, identifying discrepancies and ensuring accurate financial reporting
  • Support project and operational accounting across active construction projects
  • Assist with fixed asset accounting, SALT-related accounting matters, and recurring vendor reconciliations
  • Coordinate project payroll reporting and customer-required weekly payroll documentation while partnering with the payroll team
  • Manage jobsite compliance requirements including certified payroll, wrap-up insurance programs, and related project reporting
  • Review vendor accounts and recurring billing arrangements to resolve discrepancies and maintain payment accuracy
  • Support billing, accounts payable, workflow, and profitability reporting
  • Partner cross-functionally with project teams, operations, payroll, and leadership to improve reporting accuracy and accounting processes
  • Help develop and improve internal accounting procedures, controls, and operational workflows
What We're Looking For

Strong foundation in general ledger accounting, reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close Experience within construction, project accounting, or cost accounting is strongly preferred Understanding of GAAP-based accounting practices Experience working in an operational accounting environment where accounting partners closely with the business Ability to investigate discrepancies, solve problems, and work across multiple priorities Comfortable working in an environment where responsibilities may extend beyond a traditional Senior Accountant job description

Additional Experience That Would Be Valuable
  • Construction accounting
  • Project or job-cost accounting
  • Certified payroll
  • Jobsite compliance
  • SALT exposure
  • Fixed assets
  • Wrap-up insurance programs
  • Trimble Spectrum or similar construction ERP/accounting software
Why Consider This Opportunity?

This isn't a narrow Senior Accountant role. You'll join an established organization with significant project activity, while working within a team that operates with the flexibility and entrepreneurial mindset of a much smaller company. The position provides exposure across corporate accounting, projects, operations, payroll compliance, and financial reporting, creating a strong foundation for someone who wants to continue progressing toward broader accounting leadership responsibilities. For the right person, there is meaningful long-term upward mobility and exposure to increasingly complex projects and responsibilities.
