Job summary

Pinnacle Marketing Group is seeking a Senior Accountant to own detailed financial processes and contribute to the broader financial picture. You will handle journal entries, reconciliations, payroll support, budgeting, and cash reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2+ years of general accounting experience; marketing, media, or service-industry experience is a plus.
• Working knowledge of GAAP, the full accounting cycle, month-end close, and reconciliations.
• Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite, or similar) and strong Excel skills.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Discretion with confidential information.
• CPA or progress toward CPA eligibility is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, maintain the general ledger, and complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Maintain the general ledger and chart of accounts, ensuring transactions are coded accurately.
• Support payroll processing by reviewing payroll data and recording payroll journal entries.
• Gather department-level data to support the annual budget and periodic forecasts.
• Monitor cash activity and prepare cash position reports.
• Complete month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close tasks and prepare draft financial statements.
• Prepare budget-to-actual variance reports and support budgeting and cash flow forecasting.
• Assist in preparing audit schedules for our independent accounting firm and assist with sales/use and property tax filings.

Pinnacle Marketing Group is a full-service marketing company offering social media management, website development, video production, graphic design, the online directory localsolution.com, and high-quality print directories. In this role, you’ll support our financial reporting functions and help maintain the accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of our accounting operations. Your work will feed directly into the reporting, budgets, and analysis presented to leadership and our Board of Directors.
