Senior Accountant

Ledgent Finance & Accounting is actively seeking a Senior Accountant for a direct hire position with a reputable client in Columbia, MD. This role offers exposure to project accounting, government contracting, financial reporting, audit support, payroll, and operational finance while working closely with an experienced Controller.

Salary: $85,000 - $110,000; Full-Time; Direct Hire. Location: Columbia, MD (Hybrid - 2 Days Onsite).

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Support financial reporting, cash flow analysis, and audit preparation.
• Assist with project accounting and contract setup for government-funded projects.
• Review payroll processes and support AP oversight.

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA or CPA-track candidate.
• Experience with ASC 606 and/or ASC 842.

• Audit support experience.

Monday through Friday, 1st shift
