Job summary

Curran Recruiting is partnering with a growing organization in the Atlanta area to hire an experienced Senior Accountant. This role is ideal for a CPA with a solid technical accounting foundation who wants to advance within a corporate accounting environment.

Key duties include supporting month-end close, preparing journal entries, reviewing reconciliations, and assisting with audits. Public accounting and audit exposure are highly preferred and corporate accounting experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Active CPA required.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Public accounting and/or external audit experience strongly preferred.
• Corporate accounting experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Analyze general ledger activity and investigate variances.
• Assist with internal and external audit requests.
• Prepare financial statements and related reporting.

We are partnering with a growing organization in the Atlanta area seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join its accounting team.

This is a great opportunity for a CPA who brings a strong technical accounting foundation and is looking to continue growing within a corporate accounting environment. Public accounting and audit experience is highly preferred.

What You’ll Do

• Support the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Analyze general ledger activity and investigate variances
• Assist with internal and external audit requests
• Support the preparation of financial statements and related reporting
• Ensure accounting activities are completed accurately and in accordance with GAAP
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and efficiencies
• Partner cross-functionally and provide accounting support across the organization
• Assist with special projects and other accounting initiatives as needed

What We’re Looking For

• Active CPA required
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
• Public accounting and/or external audit experience strongly preferred
• Corporate accounting experience is a plus
• Strong general ledger, month-end close, and account reconciliation experience
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
