Job summary

Insurance Office of America (IOA) is seeking a Senior Account Manager – Employee Benefits to lead the IOA Benefits account team under producer direction. You will manage client relationships, coordinate account coordinators, and drive renewals and new business setup with a focus on service quality.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of industry experience, active licenses, and strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industry experience in employee benefits/account management.
• Active insurance licensing is required.
• Exceptional customer service and communication abilities.
• Strong organizational, delegation, and decision-making skills.
• High accuracy when handling large volumes of work.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Client management: oversee book of business and ensure service levels.
• Deliver outstanding client service, anticipate needs and respond quickly.
• Lead the account team and supervise Account Coordinators.
• Direct daily activities and task assignments for the team.
• Identify and act on sales opportunities to grow IOA business.
• Manage new business setup, data gathering, and file creation.
• Oversee renewals, verify data, and coordinate with clients and carriers.
• Build and improve client relationships; seek feedback and implement improvements.
• Advocate for clients and carriers to achieve beneficial outcomes.
• Identify value-added solutions and report plan performance data.
