Job Description

Title: Senior Account Manager - Commercial Lines

Remote: Eastern and Central Time zones only. Florida insurance experience required. Based out of Tallahassee, FL. Book Focus: Construction, Contractors.

About the Role:

Manage an assigned book of business, ensuring account retention and supporting new business. Coordinate day-to-day administrative and customer service activities, resolve complex issues, and ensure accuracy. Serve as a subject matter expert for the team.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Technical Competence: Maintain high industry expertise.
  2. Team Leadership: Lead daily activities of the account management team.
  3. Customer Service: Handle requests, policy admin, billing, claims, coverage analysis.
  4. Policy Management: Manage expirations and renewals.
  5. Renewal Process: Conduct research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, present proposals.
  6. Accounts Receivable: Monitor reports and follow up on delinquent accounts.
  7. System Maintenance: Keep agency management and carrier systems updated.
  8. Activity Monitoring: Ensure timely completion of activities.
  9. Communication: Maintain transparent communication with the team.
  10. Service Excellence: Deliver proactive, responsive service.
  11. Policy Compliance: Stay updated on policies and procedures.
  12. Continuous Improvement: Adopt best practices for performance.
  13. Champion IOA Values: Demonstrate integrity and leadership.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
  1. 5+ years of account management or 7+ years in insurance industry.
  2. Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs.
  3. Active licensing required; CIC or similar designation preferred.
  4. Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making skills.
  5. Excellent customer service, communication, multitasking, organizational skills.
  6. Proficiency in MS Office.
  7. High School Diploma or equivalent.
