Job description

DESCRIPTION

We are currently looking for an Sr. Account Manager (SAM) to be responsible for program management, delivery of sales and market share targets, and hiring and managing up to five (5) direct report Territory Sales Managers (TSMs). The Account Manager will be responsible for executing strategic and tactical business development plans for the program, drive sales growth at covered locations on behalf of Google Nest . The SAM is expected to maintain the client relationships, ensure alignment on tactical approaches, and manage team activities through building and maintaining trusting relationships.

This position is the hub of the wheel, supporting senior leadership and the client with streamlined process oversight, KPI attainment, executive level reporting and insights, and communications.

The SAM is responsible for directly managing Territory Sales Managers, with dot-line responsibility and direction to Operations personnel. This also includes managing aspects of the client relationship, and limited budget and expense responsibility.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as a point of contact with client, maintain relationships and assist with strategic planning. Help manage execution of all client-specific initiatives working cross-departmentally within Mosaic.

  • Work with leadership to oversee operational processes to develop and report on KPIs, data collection, executive level reporting, insights, and trends.

  • Guide timeliness and accuracy of reporting and tracking mechanisms for performance metrics that help drive results and compliance.

  • Provide weekly and monthly status updates on program results/personnel, client program reporting and reviews.

  • Develop processes and maintain SOP documents for program.

  • Continually seek opportunities to improve processes and develop and implement efficiencies.

  • Serving as liaison between projects and their stakeholders, maintaining effective communication, transparency, partnership-approach, and thorough attention to detail.

  • Work with internal support services to ensure that the services are aligned to deliver client expectations, and that the services are delivered effectively.

  • Develop and facilitate communication and strategies that effectively inform and positively influence compliance and associate engagement.

  • Oversee and coordinator program new hire orientation schedules and content.

  • Administrative oversight as required (HR, recruiting, accounting, procurement).

  • Crisis management - identify field issues and develop solutions.

  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned.

  • Lead and develop a team of TSMs across a large geographic territory, whose primary role is to visit stores in an assigned region, build and maintain trusting relationships, train & engage store sales associates on products and devices, and promote and advocate products and brand to drive sell-through.

  • Empower team members to demonstrate thought leadership and decision making by creating a supportive and collaborative environment.

  • Inspire and motivate a team of experienced sales professionals to achieve assigned business targets which will include prioritization of store visits during optimal store-traffic periods to maximize impact and meet training objectives.

  • Identify key growth opportunities and drive overall sell-through for covered geographies.

  • Execute plans to reach targets and direct sales resources to meet trade partner needs and channel requirements.

  • Responsible for budget management of market funds, conducting performance audits and reviews, HR policies, training, hiring process, payroll, and other management responsibilities as required.

  • Maintain a strong level of expectation and ability to lead/coach through various content and mediums when being face to face is not possible.

  • Highly adaptable to an ever-changing business landscape.

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field or relevant work experience.

  • Five or more years of account management or project management in agency, retail, or marketing environment preferred. Preferable experience in home improvement retail.

  • Experience in a client-facing role, with an emphasis on relationship development.

  • Proven people management of field/retail personnel experience, including remote management.

  • Proven experience in cross-functional partnerships - superior interpersonal skills to work closely with other team members and the client.

  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with experience in capturing and reporting insights, trends, and developing action plans. Storytelling through reporting, always considering the “so what”.

  • Professional attitude, possessing superior observational skills, demonstrating critical thinking and problem-solving skills to assess challenges with a solution-oriented mentality.

  • Impeccable follow up and follow through.

  • Strong technical savvy required (Excel/Sheets, Word/Docs, PowerPoint/Slides) and ability to thrive in a digital work environment.
