Are you passionate about building and nurturing customer relationships? As an Outside Account Manager with Central Steel & Wire, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and expanding our transactional business with current and past customers within your designated marketplace. This position is based in the Chicagoland area.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Build strong relationships with contacts at all levels within customer organizations, especially with purchasing decision makers, developing trust and confidence in Central Steel & Wire and its representatives.
  • Collaborate closely with inside sales, credit, inventory, and other departments to achieve company and customer objectives.
  • Monitor the competitive environment and provide market intelligence to sales management to inform strategies and decisions.
  • Increase revenue from assigned customers by selling value-added services and growing new business through profitable transactions.
  • Manage customer accounts, including margin analysis, market information, and quality initiatives.
  • Develop and implement sales and commercial programs, promoting our E-Commerce capabilities.
  • Execute daily call planning to keep customers informed about industry trends and Ryerson's support capabilities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or as circumstances change.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, preferably in marketing, business, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of sales experience in the metals service center industry or similar industrial sales background.
  • Experience in selling fabricated materials.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; experience with SAP and Salesforce.com is highly desirable.
  • Strong business acumen, excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Salary: $74,301.05 - $111,451.57 annually. A higher starting salary depends on experience and education exceeding minimum requirements.
