Job summary

MikeWorldWide is seeking a Senior Account Executive on the Corporate Reputation team in New York to lead media relations for key corporate and B2B clients. You will build strong journalist relationships, manage client expectations, and mentor junior staff while driving strategy and flawless communications programs.

You will craft press materials, supervise outreach, and contribute to new business pitches, with a focus on timely, impactful coverage across traditional and digital channels.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a full‑time PR role in an agency or corporate comms
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, PR or related field
• Excellent organizational skills and detail orientation
• Experience managing staff across multi‑dimensional accounts
• Proven media writing and media relations proficiency
• Strong relationships with journalists and ability to secure coverage
• Understanding of digital and social media alongside traditional media
• Ability to learn quickly across business sectors
• Strong time management and project management capability
• Professional demeanor and client-ready presence
• Excellent written/oral communication; proofreading skills
• Experience with monitoring tools (Muck Rack, Cision, Factiva, TV Eyes)
• Experience with corporate/B2B clients

Responsibilities

• Serve as day‑to‑day client contact and liaison for account teams
• Respond to client requests; delegate work to junior team members
• Own media relations for the teams; draft press materials and cultivate journalists
• Generate new ideas to ensure client program success and participate in strategy sessions
• Demonstrate strong writing: press releases, pitches, audits, reports
• Monitor news and flag trends; track reporter moves for rapid pitching
• Understand clients’ businesses and industry issues; provide proactive guidance
• Mentor and manage teams; review junior staff work and supervise media outreach
• Provide hands-on social/digital support and leverage paid media where possible
• Support new business pitches with research and media ideas
