Job description

Qdrant is a high-performance, open-source vector database designed for next-generation AI applications. It offers cloud-native scalability, ease of use, cost efficiency, and Rust-powered reliability. Key features include advanced search capabilities, support for recommendation systems, and integration with Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG). Qdrant is used for advanced search, recommendation systems, RAG, and data analysis and anomaly detection.

Experience Requirements:
  1. 5+ years experience in a quota-carrying role with track record of overachievement through demand generation and intelligent territory management.
  2. Proven experience in B2B sales, ideally selling to a technical audience.
  3. Track record of acquiring new logos, ideally in the digital native segment.
  4. Strong technical background or experience in selling data infrastructure, ideally DB and Search technology. Experience in monetising open-source technology is a big plus.
  5. Independent and motivated by new challenges & comfortable with a fast growth environment.
Other Requirements:
  1. Solid baseline of consultative value selling and proficient use of sales qualification methodologies.
Responsibilities:
  1. Acquisition: Build and scale our AI/Digital native and Enterprise customer base whilst securing new logos by demonstrating the value Qdrant can bring to them.
  2. Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with customers and prospective customers to nurture and grow them by understanding their needs and translating them into value-adding engagements at all levels in the territory.
  3. GTM Strategy: Develop and execute a targeted sales plan for your territory and successfully execute against it to achieve significant growth.
  4. Collaborate: Work with other teams such as Marketing, DevRel, and Product to share insights and refine offerings.
  5. Engage and Educate: Use your technical knowledge of Qdrant and tie it back to the value to the customer at the C-Suite and Engineering levels to prove Qdrant’s value from a business and technical perspective.

Full remote position, preferably in US east coast time zone.

Technical Implementation Role:
Experience Requirements:
  1. 3+ years in a technical implementation, systems engineering, or similar role.
  2. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and container orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
  3. Strong understanding of networking, security, and distributed systems.
  4. Proficiency in at least one programming language, preferably Python and/or GoLang.
  5. Familiarity with database technologies, including vector databases and search systems like Elasticsearch or Solr.
  6. Experience working with open-source technologies and contributing to them.
  7. Ability to script and automate infrastructure tasks.
  8. Background in AI or machine learning applications, such as recommendation systems or NLP.
Responsibilities:
  1. Guide clients through the deployment and configuration of Qdrant’s technologies on various cloud and on-premise infrastructures.
  2. Support customers in setting up scalable and secure environments tailored to their use cases.
  3. Assist with infrastructure design and optimization to ensure high availability, performance, and resilience of Qdrant solutions.
  4. Provide support for containerization, orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes), and cloud integrations.
  5. Conduct hands-on technical demonstrations to showcase the capabilities of Qdrant.
  6. Build and present proof-of-concept implementations that align with customer requirements.
  7. Diagnose and resolve technical challenges during the integration and deployment process.
  8. Serve as an escalation point for complex customer issues requiring engineering input.
  9. Work with the Cloud Engineering Team to incorporate feedback from customer interactions into product development.
  10. Collaborate with the sales team to provide pre-sales technical guidance when necessary.
Product Marketing Role:
Experience Requirements:
  1. 5+ years of product marketing experience targeted at a technical audience.
  2. 4+ years of experience in product marketing within the B2B SaaS industry.
  3. Strong technical background and/or experience in positioning databases, search engines, and/or vector search technology.
  4. Strong content writing and content marketing experience.
  5. Experience as a data scientist or software engineer is a plus; Experience in sales enablement is a plus; Independent and motivated by new challenges; Data-driven and detail-oriented.
Responsibilities:
  1. Lead the development of a robust product marketing function, driving strategic product positioning and maximizing adoption across key customer profiles.
  2. Craft clear, compelling value propositions and positioning strategies that resonate with users at every stage of their journey, ensuring consistent messaging and engagement.
  3. Create and execute tailored product marketing strategies for both Sales-led and Product-Led Growth (PLG) motions, positioning Qdrant as the go-to solution in the vector database space.
  4. Develop a suite of high-impact content, collateral materials, and resources that empower the GTM team to effectively drive product adoption, user engagement, and market success.
  5. Collaborate closely with GTM, product, and engineering teams to ensure cohesive positioning, strategic alignment, and clear communication of priorities.
