Sr Account Executive

Chicago, IL 60606 – Onsite

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely follow-ups of all outstanding items for accurate accounting.
• Resolve internal customer inquiries in a professional manner.
• Support the work of the team as directed by management.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, procedures and policy and with IFRS regime.
• Maintain documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.
• Prepare monthly journal entries and other month-end close activities.
• Prepare G/L account reconciliations on a monthly basis.
• Prepare and review accrual entries.
• Prepare various financial packages for review by senior management.
• Assist with year-end audit.
• Resolve accounting issues and respond to any inquiries.
• Assist with other projects as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required in Accounting or Finance
• 2-3 years’ work experience preferred.
• Detail oriented
• Ability to multi-task in a deadline-oriented environment
• Ability to work in a team environment or independently.
• Experience maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive financial information.
• Experience with PeopleSoft a plus
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or similar field
• CPA license or equivalent preferred
