Job summary
Los Alamos National Laboratory seeks a Scientist 2/3/4 in the Accelerator Operations and Technology Division to provide expertise and leadership in design and modeling of accelerating structures and ion beam physics. The role interacts with experimental physicists and engineers on the LAMP project, with duties at Scientist 2 or 3 level depending on qualifications.

Qualifications
- Experience in simulation and design of hydrogen ion sources and RF structures for beamlines.
- Proven ability to meet customer and sponsor expectations in a research setting.
- Strong written and oral communication with collaborators and sponsors.
Responsibilities
- Perform RF structure and electromagnetic component simulations.
- Conduct beam physics simulations with established software.
- Lead design and development activities for LAMP accelerator projects.
