Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS) seeks a Senior Associate Dean for Academic Programs to provide strategic leadership for undergraduate, master's, and doctoral education. Reporting to the Dean, the role shapes vision, curriculum, and policy, guiding SEAS through growth and transformation.

The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of leadership in higher education, a Ph.D. in a STEM field, and a proven record in program development, accreditation, and budgeting.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of leadership experience in higher education or related fields.
• At least 5 years in higher education administration.
• Ph.D. in applied or basic science, computer science, engineering, or related field preferred.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Experience guiding academic programs, curricula, and accreditation processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction for SEAS undergraduate, master's, and doctoral programs.
• Lead curriculum review, program development, and policy planning.
• Oversee budget, resources, and administrative systems for academic programs.
• Represent SEAS in university-wide committees and cross-school initiatives.
• Foster collaboration and inclusive excellence across faculty, staff, and students.
