Job summary

Arizona State University is seeking an Academic Program Specialist 1 to support the Office of Student-Athlete Development. Under supervision, you will monitor progress, maintain records, and attend meetings. This is a part-time, non-exempt position with flexible scheduling on the Tempe campus.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree and one year of experience in the area or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Experience in mentoring, counseling, instructing, tutoring, or teaching in secondary or post-secondary education.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with students and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic mentoring to student-athletes to develop academic skills and independent learning.
• Develop and strengthen skills such as time management, organization, study skills, and prioritization.
• Monitor progress and maintain records; enter information into ARMS; prepare progress reports.
