Carnegie Mellon University is seeking a Senior Academic Coordinator to support HCII’s academic programs. You will maintain program materials, reports, databases and external communications, and prepare materials for faculty review.

If supporting a graduate program, you’ll handle prospective student inquiries and the application process. The role includes managing academic admin systems, course scheduling, admissions support and event coordination, with focus on program advancement and accurate

Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of administrative support experience required.
  • Experience in higher education and/or student services is highly desired.
  • Strong organization, problem‑solving, reasoning, communication and interpersonal skills necessary.

  • Administers course scheduling for the department.
  • Assists with admissions process.
  • Coordinates or assists with program events.
  • Monitors undergraduate student academic progress along with BHCI Program Manager.
  • Provides backup support for Academic Program Managers.
  • Provides support for assigned program related faculty.
  • Processes program expenses, purchasing requests and other accounting related transactions.

Job description

HCII is seeking a dedicated Senior Academic Coordinator to join the team! This role provides senior level support to the academic programs within HCII by maintaining program materials, reports, associated databases, and external communications. You’ll assist with gathering and preparing materials for faculty review/action, and if supporting a graduate program, act as a first line resource for prospective student inquiries and the application process.
