Job summary

Fifth Third is seeking an Associate/VP for ABS Structuring & Modeling in New York, NY. You will build and refine cash flow models across asset classes, optimize structures, and support investor communications.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in structured finance, preferably at an investment bank, accounting or advisory firm, or rating agency.
• Degree in Math, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance or other quantitative discipline.
• Track record of structuring ABS warehouse and securitization transaction modeling.
• Proficiency in Excel (complex formulas), Intex, Bloomberg; basic programming (SQL, Python, VBA) a plus.
• Strong understanding of cash flow waterfall mechanics, credit enhancement, rating agency stress scenarios.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update cash flow models for ABS transactions using Intex, DealVector, and Excel/VBA.
• Design and optimize transaction structure, including tranche sizing, credit enhancement levels, and payment priorities.
• Prepare pitch books and marketing materials by integrating cash flow analytics for presentations.
• Collaborate with risk, distribution, issuers, legal, rating agencies, and investors; communicate complex cash flow mechanics.
• Support roadshows and investor meetings with technical explanations of structures and risks.
