Job summary

NCLA Norwegian Cruise Line America is seeking a capable Able Seaman to support deck operations aboard our vessels in United States waters. You will maintain safety, perform cleaning, painting, and routine maintenance on hulls, decks and equipment, and assist in watches in port as needed.

The role requires a minimum two years shipboard experience, basic to intermediate English, and the ability to work in a multicultural team with flexible schedules.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years experience working in a shipboard environment.
• Basic to Intermediate level English verbal and writing skills, including proper grammar.
• Must be able to work in a multi-cultural environment and adapt to changing schedules.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety consciousness and assist in deck operations.
• Clean, paint and maintain hull, decks, masts and superstructure as directed.
• Assist in tank maintenance and deck equipment upkeep.
• Keep quarters and common areas clean and organized.
• Participate in deck watches in port and in harbor as assigned.
