Job summary

Fifth Third Bank in Chicago seeks a Group Manager, ABL Portfolio Mgmt to lead a Portfolio Manager team, drive retention, manage workouts, and oversee risk strategies. The role operates at an executive level with direct reports and requires strong leadership and credit expertise.

Responsibilities include advising on credit structures, pricing strategies, and risk mitigation while guiding senior management and the risk team. Travel to meet with clients may be required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree required in finance, accounting or business.
At least 20 years of experience in ABL with liquidation, workouts, restructuring and client retention.

Responsibilities

Advise and mentor Portfolio Managers in client management and strategy.
Develop and execute strategies for problem clients and credit resolutions.
Set measurable goals for retention, timely work, and risk control; review performance regularly.
Advise on pricing, covenants, waivers, amendments, forbearances, and overall credit structure.
Lead risk assessment, review watch assets, and present findings to risk management.
