Job summary

Revelyst, a collective of makers who design and manufacture performance gear, seeks a Senior ABAP Developer to craft SAP solutions for our Adventure Sports Platform. You will work with the SAP Development team in Irvine, addressing complex ABAP programs and integrations with SD/MM/FI/AFS modules.

You will implement BAPI/IDOC interfaces, optimize performance, and document operational procedures. Strong communication and multi-tasking are essential in this hands-on role.

Qualifications

• This position requires strong ABAP development background with exposure to SD, MM, FI and AFS.
• Knowledge of BW, HANA, Fiori, OData and PI/PO is preferred.
• College degree and at least 5 years of SAP ABAP and NetWeaver Tools experience.
• 6+ years SAP ECC experience and 2+ years of AFS experience.
• Excellent customer service skills and strong communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Enhance, maintain and support the SAP design and development process by developing new programs, resolving defects.
• Aid in solving end user problems and answer development-related questions.
• Test and validate development effort and coordinate testing of new programs.
• Write ABAP reports, user exits, BADI's and dialog programs; develop interfaces using BAPI/IDOC/BDC.
• Document issues/incidents and ensure development protocols are followed.
• Provide documentation and operating procedures for end users.
• Maintain implementation of 3rd party SAP bolted-on software as required.

The Senior ABAP Developer is responsible for working with the other team members in developing technical solutions in SAP to meet the Adventure Sports Platform business requirements.

This position reports to the Sr. Manager, SAP Development and is based out of our Irvine office.

As the ABAP Developer you will have an opportunity to:

• Enhance, maintain and support the SAP design and development process by developing new programs, resolving defects,


• Aid in solving end user problems,


• Answer development-related questions


• Test and validate development effort


• Work with SAP and third-party systems including Solution Manager, SAP and other transactional and support systems and at times leading 3rd party developers.


• Write or assist with the writing of Functional and/or technical requirements


• Write new or modifies existing ABAP reports, user exits, BADI's, and dialog programs


• Define and develop programs and interfaces using BAPI, IDOC, BDC, Smart Forms or SAP Script. Screens/Reports/Interfaces.


• Document and track issues / incidents


• Troubleshoot and/or tune performance issues


• Deal with any day-to-day transactions related to data problems and coordinate testing of new developed programs, and all the issues related to the normal software life cycle development ensuring that all development protocols are followed.


• Create and maintenance of program variants and background jobs.


• Maintain and support the implementation of 3rd party SAP bolted on software/programs as required


• Provide development objects documentation and operating procedures as necessary to help the business and end users in their performance/execution of their assigned tasks.

You have:

• This position requires strong ABAP Development background with exposure to SD, MM, FI and AFS. Knowledge of BW, HANA, Fiori, OData and PI / PO is preferred. Attention to details

• 6+ years of SAP ECC experience and 2+ years of AFS experience

• Data migration methods in SAP R/3 like BAPI Function modules, LSMW, call session and call transaction


• ALE, EDI and IDocs, Proxy programs


• Knowledge of OOP (object-oriented programming concepts) like classes and Interfaces


• Significant SD knowledge of Master Data (Customer, Material), Pricing, Output, Sales, Shipping, Transportation and Billing


• Web Service/XML & REST API development experience


• Knowledge of the SAP PI/PO ADAPTERS and how to implement them

You might have:

• PI (Process Integration) or PO (Process Orchestration) Hands on experience in BW/4HANA, creating Advanced DSO(ADSO), Open DSO Views, Composite Providers and SAP query.

Physical requirements:

• May be required to work more than 8 hours during a workday be it on-site or remote


• Sitting for long periods of time


• Significant mental works required/involved during program development, testing and implementation

Expected Hours of Work:

Must be available to work in-office Monday through Thursday. Friday can work from home. Rare off-hours and weekends as needed

Pay Range:

Annual Salary: $110,000.00 - $120,000.00

The actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
