Job description

We are seeking a highly skilledSenior SAP ABAP Developerto join our team. In this role, you will leverage your extensive experience withABAP(Advanced Business Application Programming) to design, develop, and implement robust SAP solutions for our clients. You will work on a range of projects, from custom developments and enhancements to complex integrations and migrations toSAP S/4HANA.

As a Senior SAP ABAP Developer, you will lead development efforts, mentor junior developers, and ensure the quality and performance of SAP applications. This position offers an opportunity to work on impactful projects and contribute to the success of our clients' digital transformations.

Key Responsibilities:

• ABAP Development: Design, develop, and maintain SAP applications using ABAP, including ABAP Objects, Function Modules, BAPI, IDoc, Enhancements, User Exits, and SmartForms.
• Custom Solutions: Create and implement custom solutions and enhancements to meet specific business requirements, including custom reports, interfaces, and data conversions.
• Integration: Develop and support integrations between SAP and non-SAP systems, using technologies such as ALE/IDoc, BAPI, RFC, and PI/PO.
• S/4HANA Migration: Contribute to migration projects from SAP ECC to S/4HANA, ensuring compatibility and leveraging new capabilities in the HANA environment.
• Performance Optimization: Optimize ABAP code for performance improvements, including tuning SQL queries, batch jobs, and background processing.
• Code Reviews: Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices, standards, and high-quality deliverables.
• Mentoring: Provide guidance and support to junior ABAP developers, fostering their growth and development.
• Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve complex technical issues in SAP applications, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
• Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for ABAP developments, including technical specifications, user guides, and operational procedures.
• Collaboration: Work closely with functional consultants, business analysts, and other technical teams to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development, including extensive experience with ABAP Objects, Enhancements, BAPI, IDoc, and SmartForms.
• S/4HANA Knowledge: Experience with SAP S/4HANA and knowledge of new functionalities and developments in the HANA environment.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in ABAP programming techniques, including ALV Reports, Batch Input, Data Dictionary, Web Dynpro, Fiori integration, and OData Services.
• Performance Tuning: Strong understanding of performance tuning techniques for ABAP programs and database queries.
• Integration Experience: Knowledge of integration technologies and techniques, including ALE/IDoc, BAPI, and RFC.
• Problem-solving: Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.
• Project Management: Experience leading or participating in full-cycle SAP projects, from requirements gathering to deployment.

Preferred:

• SAP certifications in ABAP or S/4HANA.
• Experience with SAP Fiori and UI5 for developing modern, user-friendly applications.
• Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with SAP PI/PO or SAP Cloud Platform Integration.
