Job summary

Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. in Belmont, CA seeks a Senior Virtual Cloud Engineer to design and host a virtual AAOS infotainment ECU in the cloud. You will build a high-fidelity virtual device stack using Cuttlefish and QEMU, enabling global teams to develop against it on demand.

The role focuses on cloud delivery, virtualization, and orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes, with collaboration across VW brands, suppliers, and JV partners. Hybrid work in Belmont is supported.

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years of software, cloud, or virtualization engineering with hands-on virtual devices.
• Experience leading platform efforts and coordinating across teams and partners.
• Strong AAOS/Android Automotive OS knowledge and cloud tooling.

Responsibilities

• Lead virtualization strategy for AAOS ECU using Android Cuttlefish & QEMU.
• Define hardware abstractions and virtual peripherals for fidelity.
• Coordinate across brands, suppliers, and RV Tech JV for adoption.
