Job summary

PHI Health in Meridian, MS is hiring an FAA-certified A&P mechanic to maintain our helicopter fleet. You will review daily maintenance tasks, perform inspections, and ensure airworthiness per FAA and PHI Health standards.

Candidates should have an FAA A&P certificate (Airframe & Powerplant) and at least 2 years of maintenance experience. We offer a 7/7 schedule, sign-on bonus up to $15,000, and travel opportunities between bases.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent.
Hold an FAA Mechanic Certificate with both Airframe and Powerplant.
At least 2 years of Maintenance experience as a Certified Mechanic.
Possess basic skills in communications.
Computer skills required.
Must be able to pass pre-placement physical exam including functional capacity exam, drug screening and background screen.
Willingness to travel between bases and work night shifts.

Responsibilities

Review and evaluate daily maintenance or inspection requirements and carry out tasks to maintain airworthiness.
Notify Lead Mechanic of unusual situations requiring schedule changes or technical assistance.
Maintain aircraft at field bases, manage stock levels and requisition spares for repairs.
Prepare reports, inventories, and certify work meets FAA, manufacturer and PHI Health requirements.
Comply with RAMCO entries and maintain accurate work packages and logs.
Maintain communication with Lead Mechanic and AMBS to ensure timely job completion.
Maintain parts inventory and recommend level changes when necessary.
Maintain company-provided tools and ensure calibration is performed as scheduled.
Perform miscellaneous related duties as assigned.
