Job summary

Data Systems Analysts, Inc. (DSA) is seeking an experienced Information Security Specialist SME to serve as the Assistant Information System Security Manager (A-ISSM) supporting the Scalable GEOINT mission at Fort Gordon, GA.

The role focuses on maintaining security across DoD and IC systems, RMF accreditation, and implementing NIST SP 800-53 Rev 5 controls with STIG/IAVM compliance. Collaboration with ISSOs and government leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, or related field.
• 10+ years of information security management experience.
• Subject matter expert in developing, implementing, and overseeing information security policies.
• Extensive RMF accreditation and security authorization experience.
• Strong knowledge of NIST SP 800-53 Rev 5, assessments, continuous monitoring, and POA&M.
• Experience implementing DISA STIG and IAVM compliance across Windows, Windows Server, and RHEL.
• Experience with cybersecurity tools including Tanium, Trellix/HBSS/AESS, and Splunk.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
• CISSP or CISM certification.
• DoD 8140.03 baseline certification requirements for the cybersecurity work role.

Responsibilities

• Support the Government ISSM in developing security policies and procedures.
• Lead RMF activities, including security authorization and continuous monitoring.
• Develop, implement, assess, and monitor security controls per NIST SP 800-53 Rev 5.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate cybersecurity risks.
• Maintain POA&Ms and track remediation.
• Ensure compliance with DISA STIGs and IAVM requirements.
• Oversee security across Windows, Windows Server, and RHEL environments.
• Manage endpoint security, vulnerability management, and logging solutions (Tanium, Trellix/HBSS/AESS, Splunk).
• Coordinate access management and privileged controls.
• Investigate security incidents and document deficiencies.
• Develop security documentation, contingency plans, and awareness materials.
• Collaborate with stakeholders through assessments and accreditation activities.
• Provide guidance to ensure security and operation readiness of GEOINT systems.
