Job summary

Data Systems Analysts, Inc. (DSA) is seeking an experienced Information Security Specialist SME to support the Scalable GEOINT mission at Fort Gordon, GA.

The role focuses on RMF accreditation, security policy development, and working with ISSOs, system admins, and Officials to manage security risks. The ideal candidate has extensive RMF experience, DoD/NIST knowledge, and hands-on security tool experience (Tanium, Splunk).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, or related field.
• 10+ years of information security management experience and governance responsibility.
• Subject matter expertise in information security policies and RMF implementation.
• Extensive RMF accreditation experience with DoD processes.
• Strong knowledge of NIST SP 800-53 Rev. 5, continuous monitoring, and POA&M management.
• Experience implementing DISA STIG and IAVM compliance.
• Hands-on with Tanium, Trellix/HBSS/AESS, and Splunk security tools.
• Advanced certifications such as CISSP or CISM.

Responsibilities

• Support ISSM in developing and overseeing information security policies and procedures.
• Lead RMF activities: security authorization, continuous monitoring, and ATO maintenance.
• Develop, implement, and monitor security controls per DoD/Army/IC requirements.
• Identify, document, and mitigate cybersecurity vulnerabilities and risks.
• Develop and maintain POA&Ms for remediation of deficiencies.
• Ensure DISA STIGs and IAVM compliance across environments.
• Oversee security in Windows, Windows Server, and RHEL environments.
• Manage endpoint security, vulnerability management, and logging solutions (Tanium, Trellix/HBSS/AESS, Splunk).
• Coordinate access management and privileged access controls.
• Investigate security incidents and compliance deficiencies.
• Develop security docs, contingency plans, and awareness materials.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across ISSOs, administrators, and officials.
• Provide SME guidance to maintain security and operational readiness.
