Job summary

New York City Housing Development Corporation (HDC) is seeking a Senior Project Manager in Architecture & Engineering to oversee inspections of a large portfolio of housing projects and manage rehabilitation efforts. You will review Reserve for Replacement requests, supervise agents and insurance claims, and conduct design and cost reviews to support financing decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, or construction management.
• 7+ years of relevant A&E/CM experience.
• Knowledge of NYC building codes and multi-family residential construction.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to prepare detailed reports.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive Annual Physical, Reserve for Replacement (RFR), LIHTC, and Insurance inspections of projects in HDC’s portfolio.
• Perform comprehensive Annual Physical inspections of NYCHA PACT and TRUST portfolio.
• Conduct inspections in accordance with NSPIRE standards.
• Analyze building conditions, energy efficiency, and storm resiliency.
• Process Reserve for Replacement Requests for project capital needs.
• Evaluate performance and maintenance of managing agents.
• Prepare reports describing findings and remediation recommendations.
• Monitor construction progress and review requisitions for rehabs.
• Mentor junior staff within the A&E team.
• Collaborate to develop new procedures for the A&E division.
